Reconstructing or repairing a damaged chimney can incur major expense, in addition to the difficulty in appropriately matching the existing mortar and bricks. One solution to this problem is to cover your chimney in stucco. It is visually appealing, relatively inexpensive to apply and maintains a smooth exterior. Contact the professionals at Joseph J. Jefferson & Son, Inc. for stucco chimney repair in Bellevue. After a thorough evaluation of your specific situation, we will apply stucco over your chimney for an attractive façade that is stable, waterproof and adds to the value of your residence.
Our experienced stucco contractors will complete the repair by wrapping the chimney in a specially designed wire lath and spreading a coat of mortar over it. After finishing with a coat of stucco, we can tint and texture your “new” chimney stucco to appear like stone or brick or apply a unique design that will more successfully express your individuality.
Often, just a few cracks and holes in a chimney may necessitate a less complex repair. Small cracks, where moisture has infiltrated the mortar, can be appropriately patched with a dedicated caulking compound manufactured for that purpose. A larger crack or hole requires a cement and stucco composite to effectively seal the injury.
