Accidents can leave holes and gouges in otherwise striking stucco walls. The removal of a door or window also necessitates a stucco patch. Joseph J. Jefferson & Son, Inc. has been patching stucco walls in Bellevue and nearby areas throughout Western Washington since 1924.
The selection of stucco cladding for a residence or business is an excellent decision and overall investment for several reasons. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but its endurance, stability, fire retardant capabilities and energy efficiency make stucco a tremendous overall investment.
There are a few factors, however, that can cause stucco damage and deterioration as the surface ages. Since stucco is extremely rigid, it is prone to cracking during dry conditions. Moisture penetration can result in additional problems like blistering, mold and mildew and peeling paint.
Our experienced stucco technicians will cautiously inspect your stucco damage and offer a well-defined quote for restoration service. We can effectively repair small, thin cracks with a unique acrylic caulking compound. Longer and wider cracks usually necessitate a different solution that includes a premixed stucco patch composite applied in several slim layers. Gouges require a more complex treatment involving removal of loose stucco, replacement of damaged mesh and builder’s paper and successive coats of stucco added that are mixed on-site. All methods produce a stucco surface that has skillful color and texture matching.
